Description

Kagoshima is located towards the Southern tip of Japan, which is know for its cooler and more temperate climate. With more consistent temperature and weather conditions, it makes a suitable environment for the rearing of Kuroge / Japanese Black cattle, which most Wagyu Beef comes from. With the ideal conditions of having sufficient natural sun amongst others, it is no surprise that Kagoshima is one of the the largest producers of Wagyu beef, so much so that Kagoshima Wagyu is a brand in itself. In terms of flavour profile, Kagoshima Wagyu is often described as well balanced, tender and with a fuller body.
