  • Possible cooking applications: tempura, added into a donabe at the end for a quick steam, sautéed and served with Shoyu, simmered in dashi before being served with noodles (such as udon or soba)

Description

Kogomi, is a type of Ostrich Fern, and is also known as the Fiddlehead Fern in the West. It is a Spring special in Japan and can only be found for a short duration of time each year. These are often foraged in the wild forests, and are not farmed / cultivated.
